Howdy! ヾ( ˃ᴗ˂ )◞

You may be wondering, "why this TRASH is in here"?!

The "__sneakysims-metadata" folder contains metadata files related to the thing you downloaded. Things like...

* Fancy images showing off the custom content
* The title of the custom content
* The tags of the custom content
* The original source of the custom content
* And other cool things...

"But do I actually *need* these files?"

Technically? No. You shouldn't even copy these files when installing the custom content.
Are they still useful? Absolutely.

If one day, SneakySims ever vanishes into the void (let's hope not), the metadata files can be used to piece together
what the custom content does.

This is useful because we already had other The Sims 1 archive fan sites dying in the past and, even with the backups
that fellow Simmers made of the files that were present in these websites, the files themselves don't have any of the
metadata that was present in the website itself, so piecing together what each custom content is painful and, if you
don't know exactly what you are searching for, it is impossible to *shop* for new custom content.

After all, isn't part of the fun shopping for new custom content?

So, keep them! Love them! Cherish them! You may never know when you'll need them.

Sul sul! I hope you come back to https://sneakysims.net/ soon! ʕ•ᴥ•ʔ
